This tab in the treatment cycle is a place to record what treatment decisions have been made for the patient.
There are no validation rules associated with these orders, they are simply a visual indicator.
Here are a few suggested workflows;
once a treatment plan has been confirmed by the clinician, they can create the intended treatment cycle, and complete the details in the lab orders tab, for the lab to refer to when preparing for the cycle
The clinician could confirm the treatment plan in a Progress Note and the nurse create the treatment cycle record and add the lab orders based on the clinician decisions
you may have a daily MDT meeting - the plan agreed at this could be transcribed into the lab orders.
