Relationships in IDEAS are both social and related to gamete sources.
IDEAS keeps track of eggs and sperm used in any given patient treatment cycle.
Relationships in IDEAS can indicates the patient and partner status, but also indicate the gamete providers (and surrogates/intended parents) in a treatment cycle.
All patients undergoing infertility treatments within IDEAS will have one or more associated relationship with another individual.
All relationships must be defined in the patient record so that gamete sources in treatment cycles can correctly be identified in any future treatment cycles. All relevant relationships must be recorded prior to the start of any new treatment cycle.
