IDEAS V7 IDEAS 7.0.1 Release Notes has a new Patient Homepage providing users with a quick single pane overview of key information of Patient/Couple.

The page is scrollable and adjusts to available width (caters, automatically, for lower resolution screens).

For those familiar with IDEAS V6, the Tools and Index tables have been replaced with a new, customisable layout.

Layout customization

There are lots of sections on the User Home Page which can make the page very busy - these can be re-ordered or even hidden.

  • Click on the cog icon in the top right of the screen and the form layout configuration window will appear.

  • Double click the check box to check and uncheck. Unchecked items will not appear on the homepage.

  • click on the grey box (a double headed arrow will show, and drag the section up or down to where you would like it.

These changes are for the user (not system wide) and will be retained.

Dual patient display

A patient record, and that of the patient who is defined as their partner on the Demographic details>Relationships tab can now both be seen at the same time, the patient on the left and the partner on the right. The active record is the one on the left, and users can switch between the two by clicking the names in the demographic slice at the top of the page.

To remove the partner record from the display, click the left pointing arrow in the divider line between the two records

The partner record can be restored - the arrow will have sifted to the right of the screen and can be clicked again.

Screening tests

The screening test section shows the results of periodic or screening tests.

A validity time period can be set in configuration, after which an alert will be generated. N.B. this can only be set as a system wide Investigation tests can be ‘forced’ to display in the section, even if the patient does not have any results, yet.

The text colour of the results can be used to highlight positive and negative results (configurable in Config - Investigation test result limits ).

Progress Note sub categories

The Progress note folder can become very crowded and you may wish to highlight some particular note types on the patient homepage to highlight them

Progress note categories can be coded so that any progress notes created and allocated to that category will appear in the Progress note folder, but also as a hyperlink in one of the below sections on the patient homepage. There is a flag icon beside each answer in a Progress Note template.

If you click the flag it will turn red

 

This question and answer will now show on the patient homepage

 

Treatment status

This is an overview of the patients’ performed treatments. Columns in this list can be re-ordered (or hidden) and settings are saved in the user profile. The outcome of a cycle is indicated with an icon in the first column (consistent throughout IDEAS).

The ‘show details’ tickbox  reveals more details of the selected treatment.

Upcoming appointments

List of upcoming appointments which are present in the appointment diary.

This list is hyperlinked and takes the user to the appointment diary

Alerts

A list of all current and previous alerts regarding patient. Items are hyperlinked and opens the alert form

Orders

A list of all current and previous orders regarding patient. Items are hyperlinked and opens the orders form
