Config. - Diagnosis code

Occasionally the ICD-10 code you wish to add to the patient file is not available in the diagnosis dropdown.  In these cases, you will have to add it to the Diagnosis list in System Configuration.  Once added, it will be available for selection in any patient.

Diagnosis Lists are clinic-configurable at

File > System configuration > Lists>Diagnosis codes (ICD9)

Add a New record.

Enter the Description and ICD-10 code as shown below.

Note - if you add a diagnosis code here, it will display on the Patient Snapshot section of the patient homepage Patient Homepage & folders ;

Intended treatment>Primary & Secondary Infertility Diagnosis

For more discussion click here PN - Diagnosis tab

Clinics will often enter a general diagnosis for the Treatment Cycle primary/secondary diagnosis.  This diagnosis is used primarily for submission to reporting agencies (eg. SART).  Many clinics prefer to keep this list short by suppressing the majority of the diagnosis codes from this dropdown.

Any diagnosis with the letter 'D' entered in the UDF Code2 column will not appear in the 'primary or secondary infertility diagnosis' dropdown.

Add 'D' to the UDF Code2 column for the diagnosis if you wish to suppress the new option from the general treatment cycle diagnosis dropdown.

For US clinics reporting to SART;

If you have created a diagnosis that is available in the Treatment Cycle options, you will also need to associate a SART diagnosis to the option.

For example, if you created a diagnosis of 'Advanced Maternal Age' then you would associate that with the SART Infertility Diagnosis of 'Diminished Ovarian Reserve'.  This ensures that any cycle where Advanced Maternal Age has been selected as the Primary/Secondary Infertility Diagnosis will upload Diminished Ovarian Reserve as the Reason for ART to SART.
