How to create a blood test plan as a treatment plan module

Sometimes a group of tests are often added together to a patient file. In this case a blood test plan (also known as a module) can be added to your system configuration so that this group of tests can be added to the patient file at one time. Mellowood Medical Support can assist in this plan configuration. 

If required, each plan can also be configured with a billable item so that the batch of tests can be automatically billed once the order/requisition has been placed. For further information see Invoicing for blood and investigation tests .

  • Go to File>System Configuration > Treatment Modules.

  • Click New

  • Enter a module name that will help you easily the plan

  • Select Blood/Lab test in the “Type” field.

Details tab;

  • Type column; Select “Blood tests” from the dropdown list

  • Drug, test or procedure; Select the specific blood test from the dropdown list.

  • Use down arrow to enter the next test type

  • Repeat until all blood tests have been added to the plan

  • Click Save
