Config. - Lab Events & general information

Laboratory details folder

The Laboratory details overview is divided into three sections.

Top Grid - Individual egg/embryo tracking

General Tab

Shows each egg/embryo by line, with updated information as more lab events (excluding observations) are added and final fate events associated with the egg/embryo are confirmed.

e.g. egg collection date, insemination date, procedure, maturity, fertilisation, PGT clinical result will show in this grid as soon as that lab event is added, but the cell stage & Alt Grade of the embryo will not show in this summary until that embryo has been given a fate (and therefore the grade is finalised).

Development tab

Additionally the top grid has an alternative view showing all egg/embryo cell stage and grading data by day.

Middle grid - laboratory events

The IDEAS laboratory record is able to record multiple lab events for each egg /embryo throughout the cycle.

When you select an egg or embryo in the upper grid you will see the laboratory events associated with it in the middle grid. You can double click on those events to open them and see the detail.

Bottom Grid - lab event overall summary

This displays the events associated with each egg collected.

The bottom table displays the following tabs.

Summary tab

This table is automatically updated as laboratory observations are entered.

Remarks tab

This view allows remarks to be entered into the laboratory record.

Tip: Use File > System configuration > Paragraph templates for standard text blocks.

Lab event Configuration Principles

Drop down menus

Once the table is structured, IDEAS will remember your settings. Most drop down menus can be edited by right click>Edit list. or going to File>System Configuration>Lists.

Data is entered into the laboratory event by either directly entering in the data via the drop-down menus or , if appropriate, through the associated Embryo scoring scheme.

IDEAS provides an embryo scoring design utility allowing each laboratory to design their own embryo scoring schemes. These schemes are associated with specific laboratory events and provide a laboratory with consistent data recording. More than one scheme can be associated with each specific luteal day.

Data entered directly into the table (column view) is achieved via drop-down menus.
