Progress Note Template Configuration

Clinical notes can be entered as a Progress Note (PN) into the patient file.

Progress notes can simply be a free text note, or can be a pre-set template, containing a structured questions. If the template option is used, the answers to the questions can be analysed on a patient basis but also on a clinic wide basis. The template option can also help to impose continuity and QA across the different members of staff in the clinic.

Template properties include;

• 100 % configurability of questions and answers

• Diagnosis in progress notes are copied to diagnosis tab and vice versa

• Autofill questions from information stored elsewhere in IDEAs

• Merge answers in predefined tests

• Supply progress notes to the patient portal for completion by the patient e.g. intake forms

• You can record a duration (face time with patient) in minutes when a template is opened to record details of a patient encounter.

• Questions may have a default answer specified. .

• Questions can be shared amongst different Progress note Templates. This allows that the most recent answer to the (shared) question is viewable.
