Patient Portal - IDEAS Configuration & Training
If you will be using the IDEAS Patient Portal, you will also need to apply some configuration to implement the way in which you wish it to work.
Configuration required is detailed below, but before you start you should consider the questions detailed in this link, to help your training run more efficiently Setting up the Patient Portal - things to consider
During the Portal training sessions you will see;
PORTAL SIDE;
· The areas where you can brand your patient Portal with fonts, pictures etc.
· The different areas of the patient portal, and how to disable or enable them
· How to log into the Portal from clinic side, to configure
· How to log in as the patient, to troubleshoot issues such as forgotten passwords.
· How to send messages
IDEAS SIDE;
· How to publish documents to the patient Portal so that the patient can view them, and also how to delete them or set time limits for their availability
· How to configure appointments and drugs in the Drugs Test & Procedures area of System Configuration according to how you have answered to what you have decided re the questions outlined above.
· How messages are received in IDEAS from the Portal, and how to manage them
· How to set up user groups to streamline communication when responding to patient messages
Configuration
There are two parts to the configuration required around the Portal

| Any PN in IDEAS may be made available for online completion by setting the status of the form to ‘Web Form’. This allows the patient to complete the form online and have the information automatically uploaded to the patient file as a progress note. You will review the Progress Notes as determine which you would like available for completion on the Portal |
