Enable/Disable Portal Maintenance Mode

This article explains how to enable or disable Portal maintenance mode.

 Instructions

Enabling or disabling of Portal maintenance mode can be done by renaming app_offline.htm file in root of UI IIS Website folder.

  1. Locate UI IIS Website folder.

  2. Look for app_offline.htm file. If the file is found it means the Portal shows maintenance page for all visitors. If the file is not found it means the Portal is in operational mode.

  3. In order to enable maintenance mode look for a file with name containing “app_offline.htm“ (for instance app_offline_disabled.htm) and rename it to app_offline.htm.

  4. In order to disable maintenance mode, locate app_offline.htm file and rename it to app_offline_disabled.htm or any other name.

Note: Maintenance mode effects only user interface of the portal, WebAPI and background jobs will continue to work as usual.
