IDS5601 - Homepage - Pharmacy Sales folder
The Pharmacy Sales folder can be used to document dispensing of medications to patients. These sales may be associated with billable items added to the Billing folder.
Real-time drug/medication stock levels i.e the drug purchasing and dispensing (sales) inventory, can be managed in the Inventory module IDS5601a - Drug Inventory
All drug choices in dropdown menus within the inventory and pharmacy sales modules mirror those items entered as type ‘drug’ in the Drugs, Test & Procedures (DTP) area of System Configuration Config. - Drugs, test and procedures (DTP). if the price and label text has been configured in DTP, then this price and text will autopopulate the pharmacy sales record when the item is selected
Before using the inventory and pharmacy sales functionality, Drug configuration items in the DTP area should be reviewed for accuracy.
PLEASE NOTE: The drug prescription folder is not connected to Pharmacy Sales, and prescriptions created in the patient record cannot be set to automatically generate invoices for drug sales. To generate an invoice, a Pharmacy sales record should be manually created for each item on the prescription. This will autogenerate a list of billable items, which can then be used to generate an invoice
