PGD and the lab

The objective of the PGD system within IDEAS is to:

• Optimize the data entry flow of the PGD process

• Record the intended PGD sampling and analysis process in the treatment plan

• Record courier information and make this available to the laboratory and others

• Record the basic genetic result and clinical significance at the embryo level

• Indicate an embryo's suitability for transfer back to the patient

• Record the detailed scientific PGD report as an attachment to the patient's file
