Lab Event - PGD Biopsy

Go to the Laboratory Details folder. Add a new event and enter a PGD Biopsy event for every embryo that is biopsied. Embryos may be frozen following the biopsy event.

Add the date, time and embryologist and click apply - the list of available embryos will show up in the list.

The header will display the type of procedure to be done (PGD or PGS) and the type of analysis, PCS or FISH . The start and end time for the fixation procedure can be recorded as well as the fixation medium. (for more information click here IDS6301 - Lab Products )

The courier pick-up details are shown for your information.

If a re-biopsy is indicated, the embryo number will get an "A" suffix. This will indicate that there will be a "B" or even a "C" biopsy record of the same embryo.

The picture below shows a re-biopsy where the embryo numbers are suffixed with a "B". When ticking re-biopsy in this event you could go for a second biopsy where the embryo numbers will be suffixed with "C".
