Treatment & Cycle Completion
Treatments and cycles should always be completed in the Treatment plan, but the cycle stage which this happens will vary depending on outcome. Also clinics can determine themselves when they wish to do this but below is the most common arrangement.
We strongly advise that you document your policies for cycle and treatment completion to ensure consistency across cycles, and also to allow you to use analysis of cycle data to validate it’s accuracy in systems like SMARTS.
Cycle completion will also trigger the system to automatically complete the Performed Treatment tab indicating what events actually took place in the cycle. It is the information entered on the Performed Treatment tab that will often be used for queries and statistics, and also collated for your country's data reporting agency (SART, BELRAP, NPSU, CARTR etc).
