Gestational Ultrasound scans linked to outcome folder

For a positive pregnancy test (blood or urine), this will usually be confirmed later by gestational ultrasound scan.

E.g. - two sacs and 2 fetal hearts were visible on ultrasound but only one survived, the other ended in miscarriage

A planned gestational USS can be added as part of a treatment plan, in the luteal phase module. This would mean that a planned USS record will be present in the USS folder for that specific treatment cycle (IDS4201 Configuration - Treatment modules & plans )

If a gestational USS is not part of the treatment plan, one can be added into the USS folder and clicking ‘New’

Entry of gestational scan confirming 2 FH

  • Enter the scan details in the Ultrasound folder, ensuring that the Investigation is ‘Gestational’. The input screen has provision for the entry of the sac number, the fetal heart number and the gestation dating.

  • The pregnancy outcome must be entered for each sac
