How to record unknown pregnancy outcomes

When the result of a pregnancy is unknown, record the outcome as one of the following:

  • Unknown - positive pregnancy test

  • Unknown - sac seen

  • Unknown - Fetal heart seen

  • Unknown – Lost to follow up

Note that if the outcome of the pregnancy is only recorded as unknown, the treatment cycle will be ignored in the pregnancy outcome statistics analysis. If the treatment is recorded as one of the above, then it is possible to still include specific treatment cycles depending on which statistical parameters is queried.

E.g. when querying the clinical pregnancy rate, cycles indicated as 'Unknown - fetal heart seen' would be included, while cycles indicated as ' Unknown - positive pregnancy test' would be excluded from the calculation.

This list should be configured to your own clinic needs - Config - cycle outcomes, including reasons for cancellation
