Tx Cycle M/ment - USS & Folliculogram
Entering ultrasound scans
All ultrasound scans associated with the treatment cycle can be viewed in the Ultrasound folder.
Scans can be inserted and removed directly from this view in the same manner as blood tests using the New Record and Delete icon in the tool bar.
Planned ultrasounds will appear greyed out and read only if the date is in the future. If you are trying to enter information into a scan that appears read only it is either signed off or the record is dated in the future and the record must be confirmed prior to data entry.
Press the Scan button and select Confirm. Alternatively, you can press F12 on your keyboard to confirm an ultrasound scan
Enter the scan details as shown below.
Press the Follicle Tracking button if you want to enter follicular sizes in the scan.
Follicle measurements - Button input data entry
The follicle data entry screen displays follicle sizes in a graph. This view allows you to see the progression of the follicular growth.
It shows the current scan as well as the follicle sizes of any previous scans.
The E2 results are displayed in the lower portion of the graph.
Follicle sizes can be entered by pressing the button on the left hand side of the screen corresponding to the follicle size.
The follicle will then be displayed on the graph.
The Right or Left ovary can be selected in the upper left hand portion of the screen.
Follicle measurements - Table input data entry
An alternate data entry view is the Table Input mode.
Select Table Input to view this option.
The table input allows you to enter multiple dimensions for the follicle and will automatically calculate the average size. This also allows you to enter half sizes.
Press Done once follicle entry is complete.
The follicle data is then summarized on the scan details tab of the ultrasound record.
Clinical remarks and persistent u/s findings
Remarks can be entered either in the Clinical Remarks or the Persistent u/s findings box.
Clinical remarks would be comments relevant to this specific scan.
Persistent u/s findings area will be copied to the next scan - This allows you to automatically carry forward some remarks to the next scan.
persistent findings might be used, for instance, to note the presence of a fibroid. This is useful when different ultrasonographers are performing monitoring scans during the cycle.
