The Financial section can be used to store the patient credit card information and any third party guarantor information.

Viewing credit card information should be securely managed by the clinic. The User rights system in IDEAS controls who can read, write or view this information.

Credit card numbers are internally encrypted within IDEAS to add a further layer of security to a patient's sensitive financial information.

 

Note - if you have IDEAS Version 7.0.13 or above, you will be able to hide this area if it isn’t required in your clinic by using the User Rights functionality - User Rights - Overview
